We cannot thank this funeral home enough for the incredible care and compassion they showed our family during such a difficult time. From the very first phone call, the communication was outstanding. Lupe was incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful from the beginning, and Shane Lacey, the funeral Director, went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Shane was extremely responsive, but more than that, his communication was proactive — he was constantly following up with us to make sure everything was handled and that we had what we needed. On the day of the service, he was there making sure everything ran smoothly, which gave us so much peace of mind during an emotional day. Even after the service, when Shane was going to be out for a few days, he made sure another staff member was fully informed and ready to assist us with obtaining the death certificates and ashes. That level of organization and care truly stood out. There was a small mishap with the ashes not being divided the way we had requested, but the team addressed and corrected the issue immediately. Most importantly, they made us feel heard and supported every step of the way. The compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail they showed our family were truly exceptional. We are deeply grateful. Thank you for making such a painful experience a little easier to navigate.

Everyone I came in contact with during the process was so kind and caring, from the front desk on. My appointment to plan my mom’s cremation was with Lupa. She was very helpful and so patient, explaining everything to my sister and myself. Then she helped us with picking the thumbies to make them perfect. So very grateful to all of you helping us get through this process.

“Exceptional Service During a Difficult Time” I cannot thank Lupe and Jacob enough for their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail during such a challenging time for our family. From the very first meeting, they handled the cremation and memorial with care and compassion. The memorial was beautifully organized, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, allowing us to focus on honoring our loved one without any added stress. We are truly grateful for their dedication and highly recommend Boza & Roel Funeral Home to anyone in need of these services.

A sudden death of a loved one is never easy but the entire staff was amazing and they facilitated and handled everything with dignity and compassion. All services they provided from the pick up to arrangements and the cremation were all completed quickly and with as little trauma as possible. Prices were fair and they offered many different options.

We are very disappointed with the service received at this funeral home. My mom purchased a funeral service many years ago. Then, at the time of her passing, and after meeting with the funeral home representatives (Director Mariah and Maria) we realized that Mom had purchased services she did not want, such as open casket funeral, and so on. So technically she had paid enough money for the cremation, and some extra items such as a portrait and cards. We did not need the welcoming tour we received when we first got to the funeral home at the time of my Mom's passing; they should have listened to us before trying to sell us more products…we were mourning, grieving, and the last thing we wanted to hear was someone trying to sell us products. So, after hearing from Mariah and Maria that we had paid enough money to cover for the services my Mom wanted, they assured us they will be available by phone or email in case we had any questions while my Mom's body waited to be cremated. And here is where it gets difficult for us - after the first two weeks after my Mom's passing, I started emailing Mariah and Maria, asking for a status report, but no response. To make the story short, I never received a call back from Mariah or Maria. Eventually, we got in touch with Lupe and she helped us from that moment on. In the end, we heard our Mom's ashes were ready for pickup after making a call to the funeral home. Less important issues but nevertheless worth mentioning is the fact that one of the two portraits on my Mom had a noticeable defect in the frame. I ended up fixing it myself back at home, but as soon as I get the chance I will replace it since the frame is obviously of very cheap material. The cards with Mom's photo and prayer were made of cheap material; and it was not even laminated. You would say all the extra money paid should have been enough for the print or lamination. In the end, the most important issue I will recommend the funeral home to address is the lack of communication and empathy with those staying behind and grieving in such desperate moment. I would not want that to happen to anybody else. On March 2 2024, my Mom's ashes received a burial at sea, and with survey we are closing this sad chapter in our lives. We will move on and attempt to forget this painful episode we had we Boza and Roel Funeral Home in Tampa.
